NOMFUNDO SIBANYONI
Managing Director

Nomfundo graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand and received her BSC in Town and Regional Planning in 2006. She joined Urban Dynamics as a professional intern in July 2007 and achieved her SACPLAN qualification as Professional Planner in 2010. In 2014, Nomfundo was appointed as an Associate Director where she held a variety of management responsibilities including training and mentoring of Junior Town Planners of whom were later hired into full-time roles. During her time at Urban Dynamics Gauteng Inc, Nomfundo was awarded for the Upcoming Town Planner of the Year as well as for Best Professional Excellence.

Nomfundo was personally responsible for some of the most ambitious and complex township establishment applications in Gauteng Province. Some of these prominent projects include the Badenhorst Estate Mixed Use development in Brakpan, the Riversands SMME Hub and Business Park and Riverside View Mixed Use Development located between Dainfern and Diepsloot.

Nomfundo practiced as a Development Planner for Investec Property (a Division of Investec Bank), bringing more than 10 years of experience to her role as the Head of the Town Planning Division.

As the Managing Director and Sole Owner of Zuzile Development Planners, Nomfundo is driven to make a difference. She desires to positively impact the lives of others and she is committed to excellence in doing so.

TUNISIA CASSIM
Town Planner

Tunisia graduated from the University of Pretoria and received her Honours Degree in Town and Regional Planning on the 24th of 2019 and completed her Higher Certificate in Project and Programme Management with the University of Free State in 2020.

During her time at university, Tunisia assisted ENACTUS (a global non-governmental organisation), which focused on entrepreneurship and local economic development, it is here she took part in assisting local business in planning local economic development strategies for various communities.

In 2019 Tunisia joined Multiprof Property Intelligence where she worked as an Intern Planner. Her responsibilities were far-reaching and she acted in many roles to assist the company to go above and beyond in her role, however; as a town planner she focused on the preparation of training course material aimed at educating various property professionals in the property industry and worked under supervision of a Professional Town Planner in Land Use Management, for the preparation of various Town Planning Applications, adverts and memorandums.

Later in 2019 she was promoted to a Project Management position, in which she was entrusted to run five divisions of the company and continued to consult as a Training Facilitator and town planner for the company.

As a lover of life, Tunisia is dedicated to personal development. As an appointed Town Planner for Zuzile Development Planners in 2020, her goal is to work towards being a catalytic role player for Spatial Planning and Local Economic Development which would inspire as well as uphold the driving force behind, “Zuzile,” meaning together we gain.

If Tunisia could describe herself in one word it would be: “Hungry! Hungry to improve myself, hungry to learn, hungry to inspire and help others”.

NAMHLA TANTSI
Town Planner

Namhla graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand and received her Honours Degree in Urban and Regional Planning in 2019.

In her academic tenure, Namhla was involved in the leadership teams of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) – Africa, Novus, a built environment networking organisation and the Women’s Property Network (WPN) Student Chapter, Wits University, in a bid to understand the integration of built environment professions.

From the inception of her career, Namhla began a learnership with a Construction and Property Management company, Vincam (Pty) Ltd, where she worked under supervision in the site acquisition processes and the compilation and submission of land development applications.

In September,2019 Namhla assumed her first professional role in the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality as a Junior Town Planner. Her responsibilities in the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Management included commenting on land use applications, participating in environmental policy reviews, vetting potential land for municipal site acquisitions and post-construction compliance reviews.

A responsible and involved young professional that demonstrates a passion for her career through meaningful contributions to learning within and outside of academic scopes and through diligent performance in tasks.

Since joining Zuzile Development Planners in 2020, Namhla has aimed to harness the interpersonal and professional skills she has gained to contribute meaningfully to the vision and mission of the company.
